Altiras Fuels Completes Recovery of 52KBBL of Off-Spec Gasoline

Houston TX – Altiras Fuels, a wholly owned subsidiary of Altiras Holdings, announced today that its completed the recovery of 52,000 barrels of off-specification gasoline that was contaminated with polyisobutylene.
“This project was a win-win-win for Altiras Fuels, its supplier and its export customer and represents our growing capability to take on larger, multifaceted projects.” said Steven Marshall, Chief Executive Officer of Altiras Holdings.
The off-specification gasoline originated from a Chicago area refinery. Altiras Fuels purchased the product, then moved it by pipeline, truck, and barge to the Houston area for processing. Altiras Fuels processed the product to produce two products, an on-specification gasoline sold for export as required by Altiras’ supplier and a fuel oil sold in the local Houston market.
