The New Chemaris Acetyls Acetic Acid Manufacturing Plant in Cresson Texas is a Low Carbon Footprint Plant and is Now Running
September 12, 2022 – Altiras Chemicals is proud to announce the successful opening of the Chemaris Acetyls Acetic Acid Manufacturing Plant in Cresson, Texas. The facility is now operational, producing low-carbon footprint glacial acetic acid with a purity level of 99.8%. The plant is designed to serve customers by delivering acetic acid through both rail and bulk truck transportation, enhancing distribution capabilities.
Altiras Chemicals first conceived the idea for the plant more than three years ago, intending to create a facility that would produce high-quality acetic acid with a reduced environmental impact. After securing funding 18 months ago, the company faced numerous challenges, including supply chain disruptions, equipment delays, and other project setbacks. Despite these difficulties, Altiras Chemicals persevered and successfully brought the plant into full operation.
