Propionic Acid Recycling, Reuse, & Disposal Services
Altiras beneficially reuses and recycles Propionic Acid. You can often reuse propionic acid “as-is” without processing. If the propionic acid product has a low color and purity of over 90%, we can reuse the product as-is. However, when products have lower purity, higher color, or an odor inconsistent with typical propionic acid, we offer recycling through Chemaris Acetyls. The recovered product can be returned to the producer or Altiras can buy, process, and sell it to our customers. The table below summarizes the characteristics of acetic acid products suitable to be recycled or reused.

Please note that we prefer to handle full, bulk truckload, or rail tank car quantities for propionic acid recycling. We only consider tote quantities for consistent products.
