Propionic Acid Recycling, Reuse, & Disposal Services
Altiras beneficially reuses and recycles Propionic Acid. You can often reuse propionic acid “as-is” without processing. If the propionic acid product has a low color and purity of over 90%, we can reuse the product as-is. However, when products have lower purity, higher color, or an odor inconsistent with typical propionic acid, we offer recycling through Chemaris Acetyls. The recovered product can be returned to the producer or Altiras can buy, process, and sell it to our customers. Please note: We strongly prefer to handle spent sulfuric acid recycling and reuse in full, bulk truckload, or rail tank car quantities. We generally do not handle totes, drums, or smaller containers. We can consider tote quantities for regular, ongoing volumes.
