Acetic Acid Recycling, Beneficial Reuse & Disposal Services
Altiras specializes in the beneficial reuse of many chemicals, including Acetic Acid. We can often reuse acetic acid “as-is”, without processing. Generally, if the acetic acid product has a low color and purity of over 90%, there is a good chance we can reuse the product as-is. Examples of products viable for “as-is” reuse are found on our acetic acid products page. However, when products have lower purity, higher color, or an odor that is inconsistent with typical acetic acid, we can offer recycling as an option through our relationship with Chemaris Acetyls. The recovered product will be returned to the producer or we will buy the acetic acid, process it, and sell it to our customer base. Please note that we strongly prefer to handle full, bulk truckload, or rail tank car quantities for recycling. We only consider Tote quantities for consistent products.
