Sulfuric Acid Recycling & Reuse Services, Instead of Disposal
Altiras specializes in the beneficial reuse of many chemicals, including various organic acids and inorganic acids. We can often reuse spent acid “as-is”, without processing and allowing clients to avoid disposal.
If the sulfuric acid product has a low color and purity of over 90%, we can usually reuse the product as-is for a positive value at the origin. However, when products have a lower purity, high color, high solids, or an odor inconsistent with typical sulfuric acid, we still have options for legitimate reuse. Still, such reuse may be at a net cost, depending on operational and logistics considerations and distances. Please note: We strongly prefer to handle spent sulfuric acid recycling and reuse in full, bulk truckload, or rail tank car quantities. We generally do not handle totes, drums, or smaller containers. We can consider tote quantities for regular, ongoing volumes.
