The New Chemaris Acetyls Acetic Acid Manufacturing Plant in Cresson Texas is a Low Carbon Footprint Plant and is Now Running
September 12, 2022. Altiras Chemicals is happy to announce that the Chemaris Acetyls Acetic Acid Manufacturing Plant in Cresson Texas is now up and running. The plant is designed to produce a low carbon footprint glacial acetic acid at 99.8% purity and can serve both rail and bulk truck customers. The plant was conceived over 3 years ago and funding for the plant was secured just 18 months ago. Todd Pencarinha, Altiras CEO and Managing Director of Chemaris Acetyls stated that the plant is now producing acetic acid, despite many challenges and set-backs since the project was funded. “After everything we’ve been through, I’m just thankful we are finally running and making product”, said Pencarinha. “We have a fantastic team, a great culture, and we are excited about all the opportunities this new facility can bring, especially in producing low-carbon footprint products.”
